Vocalist Maharajapuram S. Ganesh Viswanathan in association with Music Composer
S. K. Arjun Bharathy present this enchanting melody in praise of Lord Shirdi
Sai Baba. This song is a musical tribute by the vocalist to his late
Grandmother and Guru Smt Gnanam Santhanam on her 9th Memorial
Anniversary ( 13th May 2024). Smt Gnanam Santhanam was a senior
disciple of the vocalist’s great grandfather Maharajapuram Sri Viswanatha Iyer
and later married the vocalist’s Grandfather Maharajapuram Sri Santhanam. A
Iron lady and a Musical Genius in her own right, Gnanamma ( as her
Grandchildren affectionately call her) was extremely instrumental in shaping
and supporting the musical career of her beloved husband Maharajapuram Sri Santhanam. This song was
taught to Gnanamma directly by the composer H.H. Narasimha Swamiji praising
Lord Shirdi Sai Baba. The vocalist was immensely fortunate to learn music from
his grandmother in the formative years of his musical journey as a student.
Gnanamma’s Loss is irreplaceable for the vocalist, but he continues to cherish
the evergreen memories he had with his grandmother as a Grandson and as a
student. Om Sai Ram.
